Full Stack Developer

This is a hybrid position in Ghent, Belgium. Please only apply if you can regularly visit our office in Ghent.

Goal

Our goal is to strengthen our development team by adding a skilled Full-Stack Developer who can seamlessly integrate front-end and back-end technologies. You will play an essential role in executing our long-term growth strategy by developing and optimizing our technological infrastructure and services. You will work alongside the leadership team to deliver innovative and high-quality software solutions that support our business objectives. You ensure that our software feels premium and that users have a friction-free experience with our software. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of key features, contribute to the overall architecture, and collaborate well with our small but growing team.

Role Description

As a Full Stack Developer at Studaro, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both the client-side and server-side components of all tools in our suite. This suite consists of our ATS software (Applicant Tracking System) and our Student platform.

Your work will involve:

Front-End Development:

Building responsive and dynamic user interfaces using TypeScript, Vue.js and TailwindCSS as the main frontend-stack. You will work on enhancing the usability and visual appeal of the application.

Back-End Development:

The backend is built using Node.js with the NestJS framework. You will be developing server-side logic, APIs, database structures, and maintaining and creating connections with other tools. You will ensure the application is efficient, secure, and scalable.

Collaborative Problem Solving:

Engaging in discussions and problem-solving sessions to address complex technical challenges. You will help to refine our tech stack and contribute to best practices.

Continuous Improvement:

Participating in code reviews, optimizing performance, and implementing automated testing to ensure code quality.

User Feedback and Feature Implementation:

Collaborating with other team members to understand user needs and translate them into functional and appealing features.

Competences

Technical skills:

• Proficiency in TypeScript, Nest.js, Node.js and Vue.js (or similar frameworks)
• Strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development
• Experience with RESTful APIs, and database management (PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of web performance optimization and security best practices
• Experience with ATS systems is a plus!

Soft skills:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to be able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues
• Ability to plan your work, and communicate this plan
