With your personal strengths, view of the world and unique personality. You need the following qualifications for the position of Junior Software Engineer (Cloud):

  • a technical Master’s degree (e.g. Computer Science, Information Science, Software Engineering) or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant work experience;
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language; experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP) is a plus;
  • familiarity with DevOps practices such as unit testing and working with CI/CD pipelines;
  • strong communication skills; an excellent command of written and spoken English (and preferably Dutch).

As a Junior Software Engineer at Deloitte, you'll turn client ambitions into production-grade systems on AWS, Azure, and GCP, spanning the public and private sectors. Design and write clean, maintainable application code that holds up under real-world load. Provision environments through infrastructure as code, design CI/CD pipelines that make shipping safe and routine. The result: every project is a chance to go deeper: new challenges, new stacks, new patterns, allowing you to grow and expand your horizon.

How do you do this?

  • translate client requirements into scalable and secure cloud architectures on AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Ship cloud-native applications in Spring Boot, .NET, Go, Java, or Python — code that runs the core business of our clients
  • design, build and automate cloud platform infrastructure (IaC) with Terraform, Bicep or CloudFormation
  • collaborate with data, security and UX specialists to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • define your own career: choose your own specialty, contribute to knowledge sharing, and drive internal engineering initiatives to shape our engineering team culture

You will join Deloitte’s Engineering, AI & Data (EAI&D) practice, collaborating with multinational teams and Deloitte Delivery Centers. This global network places you on high-impact projects across diverse industries and service lines for our clients worldwide.
