Crypto Compliance Officer

We're partnering exclusively with a well-capitalised, globally active trading firm to hire a Crypto Compliance Officer into their growing digital assets business. This is a hands-on, high impact role sitting at the intersection of compliance expertise and fast moving crypto markets.

You'll be the primary compliance voice for the business owning the framework, engaging regulators, and rolling up your sleeves to get things done.

What you'll do

• Own and develop the end to end compliance framework for the crypto/digital assets business
• Design and maintain policies, procedures, and controls across market conduct and trade surveillance
• Act as the go to compliance partner for new products, geographic expansion, and business initiatives
• Engage directly with regulators and exchanges; manage regulatory examinations
• Oversee AML transaction monitoring, travel rule implementation, and blockchain analytics
• Define governance structures including escalation pathways and risk appetite frameworks
• Manage and mentor a junior compliance officer
• Collaborate with global counterparts across US, APAC, AML, and Legal functions

What we're looking for

• 5–6+ years of compliance experience in financial services
• Minimum 2 years specifically covering crypto, digital assets, or blockchain focused products
• Track record of building or significantly developing compliance frameworks in a regulated environment
• Hands on operator, comfortable doing the work, not just directing it
• Strong grasp of crypto specific compliance: on chain analytics, travel rule, AML monitoring
• Direct experience engaging with financial regulators
• Any exposure to US and/or APAC regulatory environments is a plus
• ACAMS or equivalent preferred but not required
• Excellent English communication skills; collaborative and pragmatic by nature
