Job Type: Contract (7 months, possible extension)
Location: Hybrid - 1 day/week – Downtown Toronto, ON
Pay Rate - $50/hr – $75/hr
Your New Company
Our client, a very well-known Retail company hiring a Digital Analyst for a contract opportunity.
Your New Role:
- Analyze Product Performance: Dive deep into product usage data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement across our digital platforms.
- Customer Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis of customer behaviour, focusing on customer retention, churn analysis, and customer journey analytics to understand engagement patterns and pain points.
- Data Extraction & Manipulation: Utilize SQL and Python extensively for data extraction, transformation, and analysis from various sources.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-serve analytics tools using BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) to monitor key product metrics and communicate insights effectively.
- Experimentation Support: Support A/B testing and other experimentation frameworks by analyzing results, providing statistical significance, and recommending next steps.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Engineering teams, and other business stakeholders to define key performance indicators, understand business questions, and deliver impactful analytical solutions.
- Recommendations: Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for product enhancements and strategic initiatives.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience working as a Product Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, with a strong focus on product or retail data.
- Expert level proficiency in SQL for complex data querying and analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation (e.g., using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, SciPy).
- Demonstrated experience with product analytics, customer retention, churn analysis, and customer journey analytics.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) to create impactful dashboards and reports.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and their application in A/B testing and data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working in an agile product development setting.
- Experience in retail or eCommerce is highly desirable.
- A strong desire to learn, adapt, and continuously improve analytical methodologies and tools.
