Job Purpose:
Responsible for the oversight, accuracy, and control of aircraft configuration data across the fleet. This includes ensuring that all aircraft components, systems, and modifications are correctly reflected in technical systems
(AMOS), in compliance with airworthiness standards, manufacturer specifications, regulatory requirements and company requirements. The role involves coordination with technical records, planning, engineering, and maintenance departments to maintain the integrity of the configuration management process.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Ensure the fleet’s aircraft configuration (airframe, engine, landing gear, APU, components, and software) is accurately maintained in the maintenance management system (AMOS).
• Maintain Aircraft ETOPS configuration in the AMOS and ensure ETOPS approval is in line with applicable Airworthiness Authority regulations and Type Certificate Holder and Company requirements.
• Lead a team of configuration engineers responsible for updating and verifying aircraft configuration data.
• Monitor and enforce strict controls over data input and updates to ensure traceability, accuracy, and completeness of aircraft configuration.
• Coordinate aircraft configuration audits, reconciling system data with physical and documented records.
• Carry out regular verification of time-controlled component counters and forecasts by reviewing source documents and initiating any required corrective actions.
• Ensure timely incorporation of aircraft delivery/redelivery documents, modifications, and part replacements into configuration databases.
• Ensure configuration control activities meet the requirements of regulatory authorities (e.g., EASA, FAA and Oman CAA).
• Support airworthiness reviews, audits, and inspections by providing accurate configuration reports and records.
• Implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions in response to internal and external audit findings and for investigation recommendations. • Maintain alignment with manufacturer maintenance planning documents (MPD)/Aircraft Maintenance Schedules (AMS), IPCs, and aircraft/component technical documentation.
• Act as the main point of contact for configuration-related matters across CAMO and Maintenance.
• Liaise with Technical Projects and Aircraft Lease Return team during aircraft entry into service (EIS), lease returns, or aircraft transitions.
• At the Induction of every aircraft into the fleet, upload the Aircraft, Engine and Components in the AMOS
system.
• Coordinate with technical records to ensure proper documentation of all configuration changes and maintenance actions.
• Supervise, train, and guide the configuration control team in daily tasks and long-term projects.
• Allocate workload, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to procedures and deadlines.
• Lead process improvements in configuration control practices, system utilization, and data governance.
• Any other tasks as directed by the Function Head Development Engineering, ensuring timely and effective completion of all assigned duties.
• Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the Management.
• Be available / ready to support operation if required after working hours and during the weekends.

Education & Experience:
ACADEMIC:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering field with minimum 6 years of relevant experience
or
• Diploma in Engineering field or ICAO Type II licence, with a minimum of 8 years or relevant experience WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Good understanding of aircraft systems, aircraft maintenance manuals, maintenance program
requirements, time-controlled components and life-limited components
• Good experience in Aircraft Configuration Control, Engine, APU, Landing Gear shop visit
documentation review.
• Experience in use of AMOS software is highly desirable.
Special Skills & Knowledge
• Aircraft General Familiarization course or equivalent course is desirable
• AMOS working knowledge is highly desirable
