Duration: 3-Months Initially - working on a 1-year programme

IR35 Status: Inside IR35 - £450 per day

Clearance: SC Preferred failing this SC eligible

Location: Once a Month travel to either: London, Liverpool, Nottingham, Newcastle, Cardiff, Ipswich, Brighton

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Software Engineer's to work on a UK Government programme..

Tech Stack:

• Strong recent experience with Java 20 or above
• RESTful API design (Recommended have experience with OpenAPI) including versioning
• Spring Boot 3 or above
• Spring Data JPA / Hibernate
• Experience with relational database
• Strong experience of postgres, including Hibernate, JPA, resolving performance issues, writing and optimising custom SQL queries where needed.
• Experience in writing unit and integration tests (JUnit 5 and mocking)
• Experience in build and maintain CI/CD pipelines including Github Actions and Helm charts
• Experience integrating observability and structured logging into systems using Opensearch and Prometheus
• Experience with software patterns
• Gov experience
• TDD

Key Skills (Must have all):

• Experience working in UK GOV (GDS experience)
• Eligible for SC Clearance or have live and active SC Clearance
