UX Designer – Digital Platforms & Design Systems

Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is looking for a UX Designer to translate complex concepts and analyses into intuitive wireframes for web and mobile applications. The role focuses on optimizing user experiences for high-traffic digital portals while ensuring alignment with strategic design standards and accessibility guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Translate conceptual ideas and requirements into detailed wireframes and prototypes for web and mobile platforms.
  • Develop comprehensive user flows and journeys in collaboration with business and functional analysts.
  • Maintain and apply a consistent user experience by utilizing an established design system.
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to optimize the overall usability of digital services.
  • Support the development phase by providing clear design handovers and following up with engineering teams.
  • Participate actively in a multidisciplinary Agile Scrum environment to achieve project goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure designs meet both business objectives and user needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in UX Design and translating complex requirements into visual concepts.
  • 3+ years of experience working within a Scrum or Agile development environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with Figma for design and prototyping.
  • 3+ years of experience with WCAG and designing inclusive, accessible digital products.
  • Possess experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Invision.
  • You have proven experience working within existing Design Systems to ensure UI consistency.
  • You bring expertise in responsive screen design for diverse device types.
  • You're experienced in working within a government or public sector context.
  • You are proactive, communicative, and a collaborative team player with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • You are fluent in Dutch at a CEFR C2 level.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience implementing designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of UI Frameworks.
  • Experience with content design and the visual structure of content-driven pages.
