Data Science Expert – AI Content Specialist

- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
- Design Advanced Challenges: Create rigorous, domain-specific data science problems spanning hyperparameter optimization, Bayesian inference, cross-validation strategies, dimensionality reduction, and more — problems that genuinely push AI to its limits
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions: Develop comprehensive, step-by-step solutions including Python/R scripts, SQL queries, and mathematical derivations that serve as the gold standard for AI evaluation
- Audit AI-Generated Code: Critically evaluate AI outputs across libraries like Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow — assessing technical accuracy, efficiency, and best practices
- Refine AI Reasoning: Identify flawed logic in AI responses — data leakage, overfitting, improper handling of imbalanced datasets — and deliver structured feedback that directly improves model reasoning
- Document Failure Modes: Systematically capture edge cases and reasoning breakdowns to help research teams harden model behavior
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a quantitative field (Master's pursuing/completed or PhD)
- Deep domain expertise in supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, big data technologies (Spark/Hadoop), or NLP
- Strong analytical writing skills — you can translate complex algorithmic concepts and statistical results into clear, precise written explanations
- Exceptional attention to detail — you catch errors in code syntax, mathematical notation, and statistical conclusions that others miss
- Comfortable working independently and asynchronously
- No prior AI or annotation experience required
- Experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation pipelines
- Familiarity with production-level data science workflows — MLOps, CI/CD for models, model monitoring
- Background in academic research or technical writing
- Work directly with industry-leading AI research labs on genuinely frontier problems
