What your day-to-day will look like
Own and drive the operational excellence of EBANX's payment processing across Southeast Asia, starting with the Philippines. In this role, you will combine strong analytical thinking, technical expertise, and data-driven decision-making to ensure our payment operations are not only stable, but a true competitive advantage.
You will act as a key technical and analytical reference, leveraging data, automation, and (as a plus) AI-driven approaches to continuously improve performance, optimize payment flows, and enhance the merchant experience.

What your day-to-day will look like
Own and drive the operational excellence of EBANX's payment processing across Southeast Asia, starting with the Philippines. In this role, you will combine strong analytical thinking, technical expertise, and data-driven decision-making to ensure our payment operations are not only stable, but a true competitive advantage.
You will act as a key technical and analytical reference, leveraging data, automation, and (as a plus) AI-driven approaches to continuously improve performance, optimize payment flows, and enhance the merchant experience.
Your day-to-day impact
- Operational & Performance Ownership Own the end-to-end operational health of key payment partners in the Philippines and future SEA markets, focusing on Wallets and Card Payments. Monitor and analyze KPIs such as transaction success rates, latency, API performance, and settlement accuracy.
- Technical & Analytical Point of Contact Act as the main interface between EBANX and partner technical teams, supporting integrations, troubleshooting, and performance optimization with a strong technical and data-oriented mindset.
- Data-Driven Optimization Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities. Propose and implement improvements in payment flows, routing logic, and operational processes to increase approval rates and efficiency.
- Advanced Analytics & AI (Plus) Apply (or support the application of) advanced analytics, automation, or AI/ML techniques to improve payment performance, anomaly detection, fraud signals, and operational efficiency.
- Incident Management Leadership Act as the "Incident Commander" during payment disruptions, leading cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Command Center) and partners to ensure fast diagnosis and resolution.
- Post-Incident Analysis & Continuous Improvement Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes, ensuring structured post-mortems and implementation of preventive actions based on data insights.
- KPI Ownership & Data Visualization Define, track, and own key operational KPIs. Work closely with Data teams to build dashboards, automate reporting, and deliver clear data visualizations to support decision-making.
- Strategic Insights & Business Intelligence Translate operational and performance data into actionable insights for Product, Finance, and Commercial teams, influencing strategy, pricing, and partner decisions.
- BEAT Report & Executive Communication Lead the creation and presentation of the BEAT (Benchmark, Evaluation, Action, Tracking) report, providing senior leadership with a clear, data-backed view of operational performance and improvement plans.
- Product & Expansion Support Act as a subject matter expert for new payment methods and features, assessing technical feasibility, operational impact, and scalability for new markets in SEA.
- Strong experience in payments, fintech, banking, or financial services (cards, wallets, acquiring, or payment gateways)
- Solid analytical and technical background, with experience working with data (SQL, Excel, BI tools, or similar)
- Experience monitoring and improving KPIs and operational performance
- Ability to work closely with technical teams (Engineering/Product/APIs)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead incident resolution in complex environments
- Experience working with cross-functional and global teams
- Advanced English communication skills
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or advanced analytics applied to operations or payments
- Knowledge of payment optimization strategies (authorization, routing, retries, etc.)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.)
- Background in automation or scripting (Python or similar)
- Experience in Southeast Asia markets or emerging markets
