Senior .NET Developer – Front Office Trading Technology

Long-term contract opportunity through year-end with potential for extension

Hybrid schedule in New York City


Join a high-impact front office technology team supporting global trading businesses across fixed income, rates, FX, credit, and securities financing markets. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical trading platforms used for pricing, electronic trading, trade capture, and regulatory reporting in a fast-paced capital markets environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with traders, product owners, business analysts, and global technology teams to enhance and support a sophisticated in-house trading platform handling a wide range of financial products including bonds, repos, loans, CLOs, and interest rate derivatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior developer who enjoys hands-on engineering, solving complex business problems, and working directly with front office stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance enterprise trading applications using C#
  • Partner with business users, product owners, and technical teams to deliver new front office functionality
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and collaborate within a fast-moving development environment
  • Support and maintain existing applications while implementing system improvements and enhancements
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and application specifications
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution in a high-availability trading environment
  • Work closely with global teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions across international trading operations


Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • Strong expertise in C#/.NET development
  • Experience working in front office or capital markets environments
  • Understanding of fixed income products, interest rate derivatives, and trading/risk workflows
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA or similar project management platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
