Wireless Camera Connectivity Project


Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support a camera installation and connectivity project across farm field locations in South Dakota, USA. The resource will be responsible for assisting with the configuration, troubleshooting, and establishment of wireless network connectivity for field-installed cameras.


Scope of Services

The Network Administrator will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Assist with installation and configuration of wireless networking equipment for camera connectivity.
  • Support deployment of cameras across farm field environments.
  • Configure and troubleshoot wireless bridges, access points, routers, and related networking devices.
  • Verify stable communication between cameras and the central monitoring/network system.
  • Perform basic network testing, signal strength validation, and connectivity checks.
  • Identify and resolve networking or connectivity issues during deployment activities.
  • Coordinate with remote technical teams and project stakeholders as required.
  • Provide onsite implementation support and updates during project execution.
  • Ensure all work is completed following client standards and site safety requirements.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in network administration and wireless connectivity deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with wireless networking equipment, routers, switches, and access points.
  • Understanding of IP networking, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and wireless communication technologies.
  • Experience supporting outdoor or field-based wireless installations is highly preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot connectivity and signal-related issues independently.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with camera/CCTV or surveillance system deployments.
  • Familiarity with point-to-point or point-to-multipoint wireless connectivity solutions.
  • Relevant networking certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus.

Work Environment

  • The work will be performed in outdoor farm field environments.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working in varying weather/site conditions.


Deliverables

  • Successful wireless connectivity setup for deployed cameras.
  • Network configuration and troubleshooting support completed at assigned locations.
  • Validation of operational connectivity between field cameras and the designated network infrastructure.
