The HR Specialist is responsible for onboarding and offboarding, benefits, policy creation, and process improvement for associates and other programs covering the entire associate life cycle.

This position will work with the global/EMEA HR team, including HR business partners, Talent Management, and Talent Acquisition team, as well as with cross-functional partners like IT, Payroll, and Facilities.

S/he will have a passion for HR and continuous process improvement along with a customer-service orientation.

This position is part of the Human Resources department and will be located onsite in the Amsterdam office. We would also consider candidates remotely in Germany.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Act as point of contact for all inquiries received via our case management system from associates, managers and HRBPs regarding programs, policies, and procedures
  • Responsible for new associate onboarding including, processing new hire paperwork, background checks, along with pre-boarding preparation, notifications to new associates and to cross-functional partners (IT, Payroll, HR, Reception, Security, Facilities, etc.) informing of new associate start date
  • Administer and support the creation of human resources policies and programs
  • Maintain accurate associate data in Workday including, but not limited to, new hire information, termination details of associates, updating organizational structure changes, job titles, salary increases, and other personnel-related data, assist with collecting data and reporting for internal audits and (local) authorities as required
  • Ensure all processes are executed in accordance with government regulations and local labor laws, work closely with the HRBP in country to fulfill the operational business needs, participate in HR projects

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • University's degree
  • A first relevant experience in the same role
  • Sounded knowledge and experience with German Labor Law
  • Fluent German & English in written and spoken
  • Savvy user of MS Office package

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Working with a works council
  • Supporting multiple countries
  • Using an HR ERP systems, e.g. Workday

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
