EU Head of DevOps - Crypto Exchange

We have been engaged by a leading global digital assets platform to appoint an EU Head of

DevOps.

This is a critical leadership role responsible for the operational resilience, infrastructure governance, and technical scalability of the company’s European operations. The successful candidate will work closely with regional leadership, engineering, security, and compliance teams to ensure the platform meets the highest standards of reliability, regulatory readiness, and operational excellence across the EU region.

The role requires a strong blend of infrastructure engineering expertise, cloud architecture knowledge, stakeholder management, and regulatory engagement capability.

The role requires someone fluent in both Mandarin & English

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operational stability and infrastructure scalability initiatives across the European business
• Oversee system monitoring, incident response, capacity planning, and production reliability within the regional environment
• Maintain full visibility and governance across infrastructure environments spanning AWS Singapore and EU-based cloud services
• Partner with internal engineering and platform teams to ensure resilient, secure, and compliant infrastructure operations
• Represent the regional technology function in discussions with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders
• Present and explain overall technical architecture, including network topology, application architecture, infrastructure design, and operational controls
• Drive the design, implementation, and optimisation of automated CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling for the European business
• Collaborate with global teams to enhance deployment automation, operational efficiency, and infrastructure standardisation
• Support ongoing regulatory and compliance requirements relating to operational resilience and infrastructure governance

Required Experience

• Proven experience leading DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering functions within a high-availability environment
• Strong understanding of technical architecture, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure design
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS; exposure to Tencent Cloud is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, infrastructure architecture, and troubleshooting methodologies
• Experience engaging with regulators, auditors, or external governance stakeholders within regulated environments is highly desirable
• Deep understanding of CI/CD methodologies, automation frameworks, and DevOps best practices
• Ability to operate effectively within fast-scaling, international technology businesses
• Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese language skills are essential
