IT Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

• Oversee local and global IT desktop operations, terminal management, office network infrastructure, and application platforms, including implementation, ongoing maintenance, and employee IT support
• Execute core IT operations tasks: OS installation and configuration, user access management (onboarding/offboarding), data backup and recovery for servers and business systems, firmware upgrades for network devices, security policy configuration, and network topology optimization
• Analyse and resolve technical inquiries from Japan-based and global end-users; manage the IT AI ticketing system and produce periodic summary reports and analysis
• Configure, monitor, and maintain office network infrastructure (routers, switches, wireless APs) to ensure stable performance; troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues including latency and outages
• Participate in office network planning, including new deployments and structural adjustments to existing environments
• Monitor core business systems, respond to alerts promptly, and maintain incident logs; support cybersecurity efforts including vulnerability scanning, firewall policy maintenance, and emergency response to security incidents
• Track and manage IT assets across local and global locations
• Collaborate with the IT team lead on project implementation, vendor contracting, user acceptance testing, and end-user training as required
• Perform additional IT duties as assigned by the IT team lead

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT operations and Level 1/Level 2 end-user support or related fields
• Proficient in Mac and Windows laptop operation and maintenance
• Familiar with Google Workspace and a broad range of common office application systems
• Some project implementation and management experience; office setup or renovation experience is a plus
• Strong communication, learning agility, and independent problem-solving skills
• Remote support experience required
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Business-level English required; Mandarin and/or additional languages are a plus
• Occasional short-term business travel required
