The Challenge: Building the "Gold Standard" for Private Equity

Private Equity is the last frontier of finance still running on Excel and fragmented processes. At Roundtable, we are building the infrastructure that allows thousands of investors to co-invest with surgical precision.

You'll join a 10-engineer senior full stack team organized in 2 squads, working closely with 2 product managers and directly supported by our CTO and CPO, both founders.

Your Mission

You'll contribute directly to our product roadmap, shipping features end-to-end, from backend logic to frontend integration. You'll work on a real production system serving thousands of investors, with real engineering standards.

  • Feature Development: Build and ship product features across the stack — TypeScript backend with tRPC, and React / Next.js on the frontend.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, tested, type-safe code. Every PR gets a thoughtful review, and we expect the same from you.
  • Ownership: You take a feature from spec to production. You don't wait to be told what to do next.
  • Learning: You'll work alongside senior engineers who care about craft. This is a real opportunity to level up in a high-standard environment.

Core Stack

  • Core: Node.js + Next.js, 100% TypeScript (strict mode, no any).
  • Data: PostgreSQL + Prisma, Redis (BullMQ).
  • API: tRPC with Zod for end-to-end type safety.
  • Styling: Tailwind CSS, Shadcn/Radix UI.
  • Quality: Vitest, Playwright, Zod.
  • Ops: GCP, Datadog.

  • Experience: 2–4 years building fullstack TypeScript applications. You're comfortable on both sides of the stack.
  • Solid TypeScript foundations: You write typed, readable code. You don't reach for any.
  • Autonomy: You're able to pick up a ticket, ask the right questions, and ship without hand-holding.
  • Curiosity: You want to understand the product you're building, not just close tickets.
  • Pragmatic mindset: You find practical solutions, move fast, and know when to ask for help.
