Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our client’s GRA & EIT Tech team in Dublin. This is a hybrid role, offering the opportunity to work both onsite and remotely, supporting enterprise-level systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications.
• Deploy and manage applications on OpenShift.
• Build and maintain Apache Kafka producers/consumers and real-time streaming pipelines.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
• Utilize Starburst / Trino for distributed SQL query processing.
• Write efficient SQL queries for data analysis, reporting, and performance optimization.
• Integrate and manage data storage with Hitachi S3 and caching with Redis.
• Collaborate effectively with your team and contribute to agile workflows using JIRA.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose innovative solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• 7–8 years of enterprise-level Python development experience.
• Strong Python programming skills with experience in scalable applications.
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift.
• Working knowledge of Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, streaming pipelines).
• Proficiency in Starburst / Trino and SQL.
• Experience with Hitachi S3 and Redis.
• Strong understanding of Git workflows and code review processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to take ownership of deliverables.
