Overview

We are seeking a proactive and forward-thinking IT professional to join our clients team in a hybrid role that combines deskside support, project delivery, vendor management and emerging technology leadership.


80-90% of the role will be vendor management.


This position offers a unique opportunity to remain hands-on with end-user support while also taking ownership of key IT projects, AI initiatives, and cybersecurity improvements. You will play a central role in supporting daily operations, driving innovation, and coordinating internal teams and external partners to deliver impactful technology solutions.

You will work closely with senior colleagues, gain exposure to large-scale projects, including OCR implementation, EDI integration and cybersecurity enhancements and help shape the organisation’s future IT landscape.


Key Responsibilities

Deskside & Technical Support

  • Provide on-site deskside support for hardware and software issues across the organisation
  • Support Windows 11 PCs, iPhones, Zebra handheld devices, printers, and desktop/laptop hardware
  • Take ownership of incidents from logging through to resolution, including liaison with third-party vendors
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all support tickets are updated promptly
  • Provide occasional SAP deskside support
  • Assist Finance with EDI support, enabling electronic exchange of invoices and credit notes

Project Delivery & Coordination

  • Support and lead IT and transformation projects across the business
  • Act as a central coordination point for project planning, execution, and delivery
  • Contribute to key initiatives such as OCR implementation and testing
  • Balance hands-on technical support with project oversight responsibilities

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, suppliers, and service providers
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure successful service delivery
  • Provide oversight, direction, and quality control across outsourced IT activities

AI & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI solutions into business processes
  • Support and lead AI initiatives from concept through to implementation
  • Promote adoption of new technologies and drive continuous improvement

IT Security & Best Practices

  • Support the development and implementation of cybersecurity protocols
  • Act as a point of contact for security-related initiatives
  • Help embed a strong security culture across the organisation

Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Act as a subject matter expert across key systems and technologies
  • Support training and upskilling of internal staff
  • Encourage adoption of new tools, systems, and best practices


Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in a deskside or IT support role
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software environments
  • Experience supporting Windows 11 and Microsoft Office / Office 365
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in IT project delivery or coordination
