Role Summary

This person leads the Project Management Office of his assigned region and is accountable for delivery predictability, portfolio governance, financial discipline, and PM capability maturity across consulting engagements. This role owns how projects are planned, governed, and executed - ensuring delivery outcomes align with market needs, revenue goals, and cost commitments.

The role partners closely with Consulting, Sales, Finance, and Global PMO leadership to improve forecast accuracy, pipeline readiness, global resource leverage, and margin performance, while mentoring the next generation of delivery managers.

Key Responsibilities

PMO Governance

  • Own and manage the regional portfolio, aligned to global PMO and Consulting priorities.
  • Lead project managers and govern adoption of global SOPs
  • Enforce delivery governance, including quality reviews, escalation protocols, and project close‑out discipline.
  • Ensure projects deliver against scope, schedule, quality, and commercial commitments.
  • Lead regular project portfolio status and escalation meeting
  • Enable resource sharing by partnering with RMO, cross‑region PMOs and Consulting leaders to optimize capacity, skills, and utilization.

Financial, Revenue & Cost Accountability

  • Own PMO‑related performance metrics including delivery health, utilization, margin, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive revenue forecast accuracy by strengthening PM forecast discipline, milestone tracking, and early risk identification.
  • Actively manage to cost budgets, ensuring tight delivery cost control, variance management, and corrective actions.
  • Use data and insights to identify systemic delivery inefficiencies and drive improvement.

Commercial Partnership & Pipeline Enablement

  • Surface opportunities for add-on work, through subsequent delivery phases or change requests.
  • Ensure delivery (PM) capability and capacity are factored early into pipeline planning and market commitments.

People Leadership, Mentorship & Capability Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the regional PM community.
  • Provide active mentorship to PMs, building leadership maturity, commercial acumen, and decision‑making capability.
  • Oversee PM talent management, including hiring, capability assessment, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Foster a strong coaching culture focused on predictability, ownership, and customer outcomes.
  • Champion continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and reuse of global SOPs.

Stakeholder Leadership & Representation

  • Act as a trusted advisor to regional and global leaders on delivery health, execution risks, and investment priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Global PMO, Consulting, Sales, and Finance teams to align execution with strategy.
  • Represent SAS internally and externally with professionalism, integrity, and strong delivery leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in quantitative field or related industry. Coursework or degree in Marketing, Business, or Management preferred.
  • Typically requires eight years of experience in the technical implementation of software systems, and managing large projects and programming teams. Three years of direct customer experience preferred. Experience designing/building interactive systems and with at least one vertical market preferred. Two years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading regional PMO or large‑scale delivery functions.
  • Strong commercial, delivery, and governance leadership background.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex portfolios with revenue, cost, and margin accountability.
  • Strong people leadership with a coaching and mentorship mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
