About The Role:
The organisation is seeking an experienced APS6 Project Manager to support a major national social policy program focused on improving coordination, governance, and delivery across multiple interconnected workstreams. This role plays a critical part in ensuring strong alignment between strategy, evidence, reporting, and senior leadership priorities.

Requirements:
- MUST have Baseline Clearance prior to commencement
- Ability and willingness to Undergo Police Check

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end project management support including scheduling, tracking, reporting, and documentation
- Support senior project managers with coordination of multiple interdependent workstreams
- Maintain delivery rhythms including agile ceremonies, reporting cycles, and governance forums
- Produce high-quality briefings, strategy documents, dashboards, and executive presentations
- Monitor project data integrity and escalate issues, risks, or discrepancies promptly
- Map and analyse interdependencies across workstreams to improve alignment and visibility
- Develop and standardise reporting templates, tools, and program artefacts
- Support continuous improvement in project management practices and delivery maturity
- Contribute to capability uplift through knowledge sharing and coaching APS staff
- Assist with structured transition and handover activities at contract completion
Key Experience Required
- Proven experience delivering complex, multi-stream projects in APS, consulting, or similar environments
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth governance frameworks, reporting requirements, and delivery standards
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, timely, and executive-ready reporting outputs
- Experience working in high-pressure environments with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, hybrid models)
- Experience engaging with senior executives and supporting structured delivery governance
- Demonstrated ability to improve project delivery processes and uplift team capability
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships quickly
- Experience coaching or mentoring teams in project management practices (highly regarded)
- Ability to synthesise complex information into clear, actionable insights and presentations

- Background in social policy, human services, or government transformation programs
