- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
- Test AI systems by crafting challenging, adversarial, and edge-case inputs designed to expose weaknesses
- Identify unsafe, harmful, biased, or otherwise problematic AI outputs
- Document safety issues clearly with detailed examples and structured explanations
- Rate AI responses against safety and helpfulness rubrics
- Follow established red-teaming protocols and testing guides
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
- Naturally curious — you enjoy pushing systems to their limits and asking "what if?"
- A critical thinker who can spot inconsistencies, risks, and edge cases others might miss
- Strong written communicator who can describe issues precisely and concisely
- Comfortable exploring uncomfortable or unusual scenarios in a structured, professional context
- Detail-oriented and consistent in your evaluations
- Interested in AI safety, responsible technology, or the societal impact of AI
- No prior AI, cybersecurity, or technical background required
- Experience in research, journalism, ethics, psychology, or policy
- Familiarity with AI tools or large language models as an end user
- Background in quality assurance, critical analysis, or content moderation
- Work on meaningful AI safety projects alongside leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of impactful, task-based work
- Contribute to the responsible development of AI at a critical moment in the technology's evolution
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
