Program Manager – Finland Defense
Location: Finland / Latvia (Hybrid or Remote)
Travel: Up to 25% international travel

The Program Manager – Finland Defense is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing program execution and growth in collaboration with the Finland Defense Forces and other government partners. This role leads program management activities in the region, ensuring successful contract execution, strengthening customer relationships, and driving business expansion across Finland and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee program management activities for Finland defense programs
Act as the primary point of contact for the Finland Defense Forces (FDF) and government stakeholders
Ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with defined scope and quality standards
Manage the full program lifecycle—from proposal and development to manufacturing, delivery, and support
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Contracts
Monitor program performance, KPIs, risks, and milestones, and report to senior leadership
Own program budgets and maintain P&L accountability
Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues across programs
Support business development, proposals, and solution planning for new opportunities
Drive process improvements, including the transition from design to manufacturing and cost optimization
Ensure effective customer support, including field issue resolution and technical coordination.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical field, or a related discipline
12+ years of experience in program or project management (defense, aerospace, or government environment)
Experience working with government or defense contracts (Finland or European context preferred)
Proven leadership and team management experience
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence internal and external teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with the Finland Defense Forces (FDF) or a military background
Experience in the UAV/UAS industry
PMP certification or equivalent
Knowledge of New Product Development processes (PDR, CDR)
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
Experience transitioning products from design to manufacturing.
