At Vox AI—an Amsterdam-based startup with paying customers and a rapid growth trajectory—we’re upgrading the drive-thru experience. Our voice AI platform helps restaurants serve customers faster and more efficiently, delivering a smoother in-car dining encounter. There’s a good chance that next year, when you roll up to a drive-thru, you’ll interact with Vox AI. Help us perfect the technology behind that experience!
What You’ll Do:
- LLM Alignment: Implement and refine supervised fine-tuning, DPO, RLHF, and other reinforcement learning techniques to guide model behavior.
- Data Mastery: Collect, preprocess, and curate large-scale datasets for LLMs, ASR models (like Whisper), and NLP pipelines—ensuring data quality and relevance.
- MLOps & Deployment: Set up CI/CD pipelines and use Docker/Kubernetes for scalable, reliable model deployment. Leverage AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or similar platforms to streamline the entire ML lifecycle.
- Transformer Expertise: Fine-tune and deploy transformer-based models (GPT, BERT, T5, Whisper) and incorporate advanced NLP methodologies like retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and NER.
- API Integration: Develop and maintain RESTful or gRPC APIs to serve our ML models, ensuring low-latency, high-availability access to our AI capabilities.
- Team Growth: Collaborate closely with our AI-driven backend team, and as we grow in Q2 and beyond, help mentor and guide new team members.
- Proven experience in aligning LLMs using supervised fine-tuning and RL methods (e.g., DPO, RLHF).
- Strong data collection, preprocessing, and curation skills for training diverse ML models.
- Hands-on MLOps expertise, from CI/CD pipelines to containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud ML platforms like AWS SageMaker or Azure ML.
- Proficiency with transformer-based models (Whisper, GPT, BERT, T5) and NLP techniques (RAG, NER).
- Skilled at building and serving ML models through scalable APIs.
- Knowledge of optimization tools like TensorRT for speeding up inference.
- Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and real-time experimentation setups.
- Exposure to multi-modal systems integrating text, speech, images, or other data types.
- Comfort with implementing cutting-edge research techniques from recent papers.
- Ability to mentor teammates and foster a knowledge-sharing environment.
