Freelance Industrialization Project Manager (m/w/x) (Lead Level)

We are seeking a highly experienced Industrialization Project Manager (Lead Level) to drive and manage engineering-based industrialization projects within a manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects related to new infrastructure, facilities, production systems, and equipment—ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

• Lead and manage industrialization projects across the full lifecycle
  
• Design, develop, and implement operational project plans
  
• Prepare and oversee:
  
  • Engineering designs and specifications
    
  • Project schedules and timelines
    
  • Cost estimates and budgets
    
  • Production, transportation, installation, and commissioning activities
    
• Monitor project progress and performance against plans and KPIs
  
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and operational issues
  
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and contractors
  
• Define and manage resource planning (materials, equipment, workforce)
  
• Contribute to:
  
  • Engineering standards and work specifications
    
  • Project forecasting and reporting
    
• Ensure successful testing, validation, and commissioning of solutions
  
  
  
  

• M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field
  
• 8+ years of experience in industrialization or project management
  
• Proven experience leading complex engineering or manufacturing projects
  
• Strong understanding of:
  • Production processes and industrial systems
    
  • Project planning, budgeting, and execution
    
• Experience with installation, commissioning, and ramp-up phases
  
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  
• Fluency in English
  

• Experience in automotive or heavy industry
  
• Familiarity with OEM environments
