We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer with experience in FastAPI and ideally exposure to React UI, for our client, a global leader in banking, investment banking, and financial services.

The product is an ML-ready platform for rapid portfolio model development and deployment. It combines data governance, Big Data, and AI — including GenAI capabilities — to boost alpha generation, enhance client services, and ensure regulatory compliance, while improving data quality and cost efficiency.

The team is currently migrating from an IaaS Big Data platform to Azure-native Databricks.

This position offers a flexible hybrid work model, with 3 days per week working from the office located in Wroclaw.

 

Responsibilities

  • Migrate and optimize data using Databricks optimization techniques
  • Manage big data
  • Tune models for Azure with Java Spark and Delta tables
  • Address vulnerabilities through library version updates

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven experience with Python
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python ETL tools and processes, and FastAPI
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

  • Experience and knowledge of React.js
