Overview

Deliver trusted analytics. Empower smarter business decisions.

Own and optimise the analytics layer for a high-growth SaaS business. As a Senior Data Analyst (Contractor) - Tableau Specialist, you will act as the organisation’s go-to Tableau expert, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining production-grade dashboards and analytics workflows.

Working closely with the Director of Data and stakeholders across the business, you’ll proactively identify anomalies, resolve data quality issues, and ensure leadership teams can rely on fast, accurate, and actionable insights.

This is a hands-on contractor role suited to a self-sufficient analyst who can operate independently, move quickly, and deliver high-quality output with minimal hand-holding.

What You'll Do

Own End-to-End Tableau Delivery

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade dashboards in Tableau Cloud
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate business needs into actionable analytics solutions
• Deliver dashboards covering SaaS KPIs including ARR, retention, pipeline, cohorts, customer usage, and operational performance
• Optimise dashboard performance, usability, scalability, and governance standards
• Manage publishing workflows, permissions, and ongoing dashboard maintenance

Build & Maintain Reliable Data Pipelines

• Develop and maintain Tableau Prep flows for data cleaning, transformation, and scheduled workflows
• Ensure clean, structured, and trusted data is consistently available across the analytics layer
• Implement robust validation checks and quality assurance processes within workflows
• Improve reliability and efficiency of analytics pipelines and reporting processes

Monitor Data Quality & Resolve Issues

• Proactively monitor dashboards and data sources for anomalies, gaps, duplicates, and unexpected metric movements
• Conduct rapid root-cause analysis across CRM, billing, ERP, and product usage systems
• Own data issue resolution through to completion, ensuring minimal stakeholder disruption
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies

Drive Governance & Analytics Standards

• Maintain consistent metric definitions and reporting logic across the business
• Support data governance best practices, documentation, and ownership standards
• Ensure dashboards and datasets remain accurate, trusted, and scalable as the business grows
• Act as a trusted advisor on Tableau best practices and analytics delivery

What You Bring

• 6+ years’ experience in a Senior Data Analyst or similar analytics role
• Experience working within SaaS or high-growth technology businesses
• Expert-level Tableau Desktop and Tableau Cloud experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Prep
• Advanced SQL skills for querying, validating, and transforming complex datasets
• Proven track record delivering production-grade dashboards for senior leadership teams
• Strong analytical mindset with experience identifying and resolving data anomalies
• Experience working with CRM, billing, ERP, and product usage data sources (e.g. Salesforce)
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving approach
• Collaborative, self-starting mindset with strong ownership mentality
