Cybersecurity & IT Lead

Reports To: Head of Platform Engineering & Security 

Manages: IT Administrator (1 direct report) 

Experience: 5–8 years in cybersecurity and/or IT management 

Overview

FundingPips is a Dubai-based fintech building infrastructure for next-generation proprietary trading. We are looking for a Cybersecurity & IT Lead to own day-to-day security operations and IT management. This is a hands-on leadership role that will report directly to the Head of Platform Engineering & Security. You will be building the security department from the ground up, manage the IT team, and act as the operational anchor of the function. The Head will set strategy and architecture; you execute and own it. 

Responsibilities

Security Operations:

• Vulnerability management, patch cadence, and endpoint security.
• Incident response: detection, containment, and post-incident review 
• SIEM management and alerting pipeline
• Access reviews and least-privilege enforcement 
• Security awareness programe for the organization
• Security tooling vendor management.

IT Management & Compliance 

• Manage and develop the IT Administrator 
• MDM operations: JumpCloud policy enforcement and compliance
• Onboarding/offboarding and access provisioning end-to-end 
• IT helpdesk escalation path and SLA ownership
• Internal control framework: policies, procedures, audit evidence
• Periodic risk assessments and risk register maintenance

Qualifications/Requirement

• Owned a security function end-to-end (not just contributed) 
• Managed at least one direct report 
• Hands-on MDM experience (JumpCloud, Jamf, Intune, or equivalent)
• Cloud security fundamentals — AWS IAM, CloudTrail, GuardDuty 
• Compliance framework familiarity: ISO 27001, SOC 2, or equivalent 
• Fintech or regulated environment background 
• Strong written communication: policies, documentation incident reports, risk summaries 
• CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification
• Google Workspace administration experience 
• SSO, SAML, and SCIM identity management experience 
• Startup or scale-up background
