Sr .Net Developer

Title: Senior .Net Software Developer (Contract)

Location: 100% Remote EST

Overview:

• The role focuses on modernizing and enhancing key application components within a large-scale SaaS platform while leveraging AI-driven solutions to boost developer efficiency and adoption.
• In this position, you will design and build scalable services, lead initiatives to migrate applications from the .NET Framework to modern .NET, and improve existing backend and web application layers.
• The role involves analyzing legacy systems to implement modernization strategies that enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability, as well as addressing production challenges related to reliability and compatibility.
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor other engineers, and promote strong engineering practices, all while utilizing AI-assisted tools and agents to accelerate development and modernization efforts.

Core Development & Modernization:

Strong experience in C#, .NET Framework, and modern .NET, with a proven ability to develop, maintain, and modernize enterprise applications. Skilled in migrating legacy systems to .NET Core, working across backend and web layers, and building scalable SaaS solutions with solid SQL Server expertise.

Architecture & Platform:

Experience designing microservices and containerized applications using Docker/Kubernetes, along with cloud-native development on Azure. Proficient in modernizing monolithic systems, applying effective migration strategies, and working with CI/CD and DevOps practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on balancing new development and technical debt.

AI & Modern Engineering:

Proficient in AI-powered developer tools such as Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and GitHub Copilot, with hands-on experience using them to accelerate coding, debugging, and workflows, and the ability to adopt emerging AI tools into everyday development practices.
