Life400 Developer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Life400 Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications within the IBM i / AS400 environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in RPG development, system integration, and business process enhancement, with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications in the Life400 / AS400 environment.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and support RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL, and DB2-based applications.
• Perform system enhancements, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and cross-functional teams to support ongoing operational needs.
• Participate in system integration, data migration, and application modernisation initiatives.
• Ensure application reliability, security, and compliance with organisational standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and support manuals.
• Support production deployments, issue resolution, and post-implementation activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience working in IBM i / AS400 environments.
• Strong experience with Life400 development and support.
• Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, CL/CLLE, SQL, and DB2/400.
• Experience with AS400 application maintenance, enhancement, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of system integration and enterprise application workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in team-oriented environments
