Java/Kotlin Engineer-Payment Gateway

We're supporting a major payments focused programme that is rapidly scaling across multiple value streams including merchant onboarding, point of sale, and transaction capture services.

We're looking for several Senior Software Engineers with strong payments domain experience to join a growing engineering team delivering large-scale integrations and payment services.

Key Requirements

Strong experience working with payment gateways/payment processing systems

Commercial experience with:

• Kotlin
• Java
• TypeScript
• Experience working within scalable distributed systems
• Strong understanding of integrations, APIs, and backend services
• Comfortable contributing to architecture and stakeholder discussions
• Previous fintech/payments experience highly desirable

Ideal Background

Experience with any of the following would be highly beneficial:

• Payment gateways
• Merchant onboarding
• Point of Sale (POS)
• Transaction capture
• PSP integrations
• Payment orchestration
• PCI / secure payment environments

Additional Details

• London based role
• Hybrid working (2-3 days onsite)
