We are seeking a Mainframe Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise mainframe applications, supporting system enhancements, integrations, and production delivery within a collaborative technical team.

This is a 12-month full-time contract role based on-site in Darwin, NT.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe application code and supporting systems
• Assist in testing, debugging, and deployment of system changes
• Support integration and interface development across systems
• Participate in system release activities across development, test, and production environments
• Contribute to technical documentation and support materials
• Assist with issue resolution and production support activities
• Work collaboratively within project teams to deliver application enhancements
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in mainframe application development environments
• Knowledge of COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, SQL, and related mainframe technologies
• Understanding of system development lifecycle and release processes
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application issues
• Experience working in team-based delivery environments
• Basic understanding of integration and system interfaces
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn and develop technical capability
• Exposure to enterprise or government ICT environments is highly regarded
