Senior AWS DevSecOps Engineer

Stelfox is supporting a SaaS provider operating in real-time risk management solutions as they look to expand their European presence from Dublin and hiring technology staff locally here for the first time.

We are looking for an experienced DevSecOps engineer with strong/deep knowledge in AWS to help lead efforts to secure, scale and automated cloud infrastructure. You will help us embed security into the DevOps workflows and ensure compliance across our AWS estate.

Some of the key responsibilities:

• AWS infrastructure security - design & secure architectures using AWS services like EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudTrail, Security Hub etc.
• Design privilege access - network segmentation, secure connectivity models (VPC peering, PrivateLink etc)
• CI/CD pipeline hardening - integrate tools and checks into the CI/CD pipelines
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - develop and maintain secure IaC templates using Terraform or Cloudformation
• Container security - secure Docker & Kubernetes workloads running on AWS EKS
• Monitoring & Logging - CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Datadog
• Build custom tooling/scripts for proactive detection and response.
• Ensure AWS environments meet compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR. Implement automated guardrails and policy enforcement using AWS Config and SCPs.
• Security Automation: Build custom scripts and tools to automate security tasks, alerts, and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Security, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services and security best practices.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).
• Familiarity with security tools like Snyk, Aqua, Prisma Cloud, HashiCorp Vault, etc.
• Deep understanding of IAM, network security, encryption, and secure access patterns.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and version control systems (Git).
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and secure SDLC principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Security - Specialty or other relevant AWS certifications.
• Experience with zero-trust architecture and cloud-native security models.
