A fast-scaling SaaS company is seeking its first Senior Data Scientist to establish and lead its Machine Learning function from scratch.

This is a rare greenfield opportunity where you will own the full ML lifecycle, from early experimentation and model development through to production deployment and long-term AI strategy. Working closely with the founders and engineering leadership, you will help build the intelligence layer of a product designed for significant global expansion.

You will partner with another Senior Data Scientist to architect, build, and scale the ML function within a high-growth fintech environment. As one of the founding members of the data science team, this role offers strong exposure and a clear trajectory toward a future lead position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-ready machine learning models
• Develop scalable ML systems supporting real-time decision-making
• Implement experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, causal inference, etc.)
• Lead predictive modelling efforts focused on user behaviour and product optimisation
• Define and establish best practices for ML infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in Data Science or Machine Learning Engineering
• Strong Python skills with proven experience deploying models to production
• Solid grounding in experimentation, causal inference, statistical modelling, or reinforcement learning
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in a greenfield environment
• Comfortable working autonomously and shaping ambiguous problem spaces
