As we scale, we are moving into a pivotal phase: owning our most critical systems. We are seeking a passionate Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible for the "heart" of VIALET and migration efforts from external SaaS vendor.

In this role, you will foster a culture of innovation while driving the delivery of the systems that handle our ledgers, payments, and accounts. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and technical execution.

What you'll do

• Lead and Mentor: Manage a dedicated team of engineers, providing the guidance and support necessary for high performance and professional growth.
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the CTO and Product Managers to define roadmaps and contribute to "build vs. buy" discussions regarding core financial components.
• Technical Excellence: Champion best practices including code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing to ensure the reliability of our most critical systems.
• Process Optimization: Implement and refine Agile/Scrum methodologies to promote efficiency and continuous improvement within the team.
• Team Building: Participate in recruiting and scaling the engineering team.
  
  

What you'll bring

• Experience: 5+ years in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a management or technical leadership role.
• Leadership: A proven track record of fostering collaboration and mentoring engineers to reach their full potential.
• Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and modern software development lifecycles.
• Tech Stack Knowledge: Familiarity with modern cloud-native environments (AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and version control.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex technical decisions to stakeholders.
• Domain Knowledge (Bonus): Prior experience with financial systems (ledgers, payments, transactions) or the FinTech industry is a significant plus, but not a requirement.

We also utilize AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, and CDK, along with Redis and more. • Competitive Compensation: 7000-9000 euros gross, based on your experience and knowledge, with room for negotiation.
