Systems Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Oversee the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025.

• Build and lead operations and development teams for high-availability AWS services.

• Collaborate with global teams to influence service and technology evolution.

• Enhance day-to-day operations, focusing on availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.

• Identify anomalies in operational health and craft actionable bug reports to improve systems.

• Occasionally participate in on-call rotations to resolve out-of-hours incidents.

What You'll Need

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• National of an EU member state and residing in the EU.

• Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering with hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.

• Experience scripting processes in languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby.

• Solid understanding of Linux and networking, with the ability to troubleshoot performance and availability issues.

• Experience creating and improving standard operational procedures and driving best practices.
