Background:

This position is with the Customer Rewards team as a Software Engineer. Customer Rewards is a key product within the loyalty program, offering capabilities for managing reward programs and integrating digital experiences for seamless access and usage of rewards by loyalty members. The product plays a vital role in providing reliable solutions for rewards management.

Scope of Consultant Services:

The consultants will assist the company by:

• Crafting tested, high-quality code using JavaScript, SQL, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborating with various disciplines, including architecture, product management, experience design, data specialists, and domain experts.
• Making changes efficiently and in compliance through integration and deployment pipelines.
• Implementing meaningful experiments and variant testing to solve problems effectively.
• Valuing system design and modeling as critical aspects of software engineering.
• Clearly and effectively communicating in both written and oral forms to share knowledge and collaborate successfully.
• Practicing continuous delivery to support ongoing discovery and development.
• Continuously learning and viewing mentorship and coaching as integral to personal and team growth.
  
  

Requirements

Desired Knowledge, Experience, Competence, Skills, etc.:

• Proficiency in the JavaScript programming language.
• Significant experience in building cloud-native systems and solutions at scale (GCP is the preferred vendor).
• Familiarity with the following technology stack: GCP, serverless architecture, Postgres, BigQuery, NodeJS, and the Skapa Design System (Web Components, VueJS).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to have a clear and meaningful impact.
• Demonstrable experience in taking ownership when working with a multidisciplinary product team.
