Network Engineer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and intermittently improving our current network configuration and infrastructure. You will design our revamped network infrastructure with the goal of maximizing our network performance. You will also provide troubleshooting and configuration support by using your strong technical skills in Linux and Windows environments and IP networking.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.

· Monitor and troubleshoot network systems, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

· Perform network configuration and upgrades in line with company requirements and industry best practices.

· Respond to network issues and outages, providing efficient solutions in a timely manner.

· Collaborate with other IT teams to deploy network solutions for various projects.

· Assist in planning network capacity, ensuring scalability and redundancy for future growth.

· Provide network documentation, including topology, IP addresses, and detailed configuration.

· Maintain and optimize existing network systems, recommending and implementing improvements.

· Conduct regular system checks and performance evaluations.

· Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.

· Travel to client sites for network installations, troubleshooting, and support activities (travel required within UAE).

· Must have valid driving license for travel to client locations.

Qualifications:

· 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.

· Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), and experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).

· Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.

· Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.

· Understanding of network security principles and best practices.

· CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or other relevant certifications preferred.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with cross-functional teams.

· Must have own car and valid driving license for travel to client sites.
