About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our Phantom Works Infrared Management Aid (IRMA) team based in Berkeley, MO. This position is integral to supporting Boeing’s Defense, Space & Security (BDS) division, focusing on developing cutting-edge infrared and mission planning software solutions. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team to design, develop, test, and integrate software applications that meet stringent industry, safety, and regulatory standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative defense projects, utilize advanced technologies, and lead efforts that enhance the capabilities of our infrared systems.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields, with extensive experience in software development. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and have a proven track record of programming in C++ for at least five years. Experience with multi-threaded development, agile methodologies, and real-time software is essential. Preferred qualifications include active security clearances such as Top Secret, familiarity with GPU architectures, CUDA C/C++, performance optimization, and experience integrating MATLAB algorithms into C++ applications. A strong background in software development tools like Git, Visual Studio, and Jira, along with IR system knowledge, will be advantageous. Candidates with advanced degrees or extensive relevant experience are encouraged to apply, along with those possessing a comprehensive understanding of aerospace software requirements.
