We are looking for a commercially strong PMO Manager with deep exposure to technology portfolio financials, investment governance, and value realisation. This role sits at the intersection of PMO, Finance, and Technology, bringing financial discipline and transparency to enterprise change investments.


As PMO Manager, you will drive enterprise-level PMO governance across technology portfolios, ensuring robust demand management, business case quality, financial oversight, and value tracking. You will work closely with Technology, Finance, Architecture, and senior business leaders to support informed investment decisions and portfolio performance.


Key Responsibilities

PMO Demand & Portfolio Planning

  • Lead enterprise demand collation and prioritisation across portfolios
  • Orchestrate the annual portfolio planning and demand cycle
  • Embed a value-led prioritisation framework across initiatives
  • Ensure alignment of demand with enterprise architecture and strategic objectives
  • Support senior leadership forums with investment insights

Business Case Governance

  • Review and challenge business case submissions (ROI, payback, benefits)
  • Validate financial assumptions and value metrics
  • Drive standardisation and quality of business cases across the portfolio

Portfolio Financial Oversight

  • Monitor portfolio Capex/Opex spend against approved budgets
  • Track resource and manpower planning across programmes
  • Identify, escalate, and manage financial risks and variances
  • Partner with Finance and Portfolio Heads on forecast refinement

Value Realisation & Reporting

  • Lead enterprise value tracking for delivered initiatives
  • Monitor benefits realisation versus approved business cases
  • Produce high-quality PMO reporting for senior and Tier 1 committees
  • Ensure smooth handover from delivery into benefits tracking


What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 8+ years’ experience in PMO, Portfolio Finance, or Technology Business Management
  • Strong background in technology programme financial management (banking preferred)
  • Proven experience managing Capex/Opex, benefits realisation, and portfolio governance
  • Experience operating in large, complex, matrix organisations
  • Consulting or transformation office experience is advantageous

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • Professional accounting qualification preferred (ACA / ACCA / CPA / CA)
  • MBA or postgraduate degree is a plus
