UX / UI Designer (Freelance)

About the role

We're looking for a product-minded UX/UI designer to bring visual and experiential cohesion to SpeakSoon. You'll work across two very different surfaces, a web dashboard and a WhatsApp-based assistant, and make them feel like one product. You'll work directly with the founding team on everything from design system foundations to onboarding flows and feature design.

What you'll work on

Designing across the full product surface: a Figma-based design system from the ground up, a full redesign of our web dashboard, and a coherent UX that bridges our WhatsApp assistant and the dashboard. You'll also be a voice in product conversations (roadmap, features, and direction).

What we're looking for

You're a fit if you:

• Think in systems first, aesthetics second. You design for coherence and consistency, not just polish.
• Have designed across multiple surfaces or interaction paradigms (bonus if one was conversational).
• Have a solid Figma skill and can build scalable component libraries, not just pretty mocks.
• Move fast and are comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.
• Care about the product experience end-to-end, not just your slice of it.
• Can communicate your design choices clearly and back them up.

A few things that'd make you stand out:

• Experience with conversational UX (chatbots, voice, messaging-based products)
• Have worked in an early-stage startup where you owned the design function
• Familiarity with onboarding design and activation flows

Important notes!

• This position is Hybrid. We expect you to be at our Antwerp office 2 days a week. We won't reply to fully remote applications.
• Initially, this collaboration will start on a part-time basis.
