Job Title: L1 Business Application and Systems Support

Location: Dubai – Hybrid (3 days in office)

Salary: 15k/25k AED Monthly

Job Description:

I have partnered with a leading fintech company that designs and markets a growing range of innovative products. They are looking for an L1 application support engineer who has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an application support role L1.

They are looking for candidates with a finance or trading background with experience with client-related or application support queries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 1 support for their financial systems
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends.
• Create incident and problem tickets in the system.
• Update the incident system and communicate with the business during incidents.
• Collaborate with technical teams to document recovery steps and playbooks.
• Assist Incident Manager in completing and tracking RCAs.
• Generate incident reports (weekly, monthly, ad hoc).
• Document outages and engage with Level 2 for escalations.
• Monitor platform health to ensure stable service and performance.
• Develop and maintain technical support documentation.
• Investigate user queries (e.g., order issues, flow breaks, pricing).
• Escalate urgent issues to appropriate resources.
• Work with DevOps, QA, Dev, and Infrastructure teams on software releases and best practices.
• Perform daily run book activities and shift turnover reports.
• Conduct post-release testing after upgrades/releases.
• Communicate effectively with offshore teams.
• Diagnose incidents, assess priority, and escalate as needed.
• Basic SQL Exposure Required.
• Exposure to monitoring tools such as Zabbix/Kibana/Grafana
• Exposure to Jira or similar ticketing system is a must.
