Overview

We are seeking a motivated Graduate / Junior Java Developer to join a growing technology team based in North Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career software engineer to work on modern cloud-based applications using Java, Spring technologies, and AWS.

You will work alongside experienced developers in an agile environment, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Assist in building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product teams
• Work with AWS cloud technologies and CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to technical documentation and best practices
• Support continuous improvement and optimisation of existing systems

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
• Strong understanding of core Java concepts
• Exposure to Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• Knowledge of REST APIs and web services
• Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Git/version control
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and work in a collaborative environment
