We’re looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to take the lead in managing and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies, driving operational efficiency, automation, and performance at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • AWS Cloud Management: Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and peak performance.
  • Provisioning Code Optimization: Streamline deployment processes by identifying and removing obsolete or redundant code in provisioning scripts.
  • AWS S3 Storage Management: Optimize and manage S3 storage solutions for cost-effective and high-performance storage management.
  • CloudOS Manifest Updates: Update CloudOS manifests to ensure accurate sizing and optimal configuration for various applications and services.
  • Automation and Scripting: Create and maintain automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual intervention.
  • CI/CD Implementation: Build and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement changes to maintain compliance and operational standards.
  • Collaboration and Mentorship: Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and blockers and mentor junior engineers to develop their technical skills.
  • Security and Compliance: Conduct regular security assessments and enforce best practices to safeguard cloud environments.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications are a plus).
  • At least 10 years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a strong focus on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Expertise in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation).
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Solid knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on optimizing performance and cost.
