We’re looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to take the lead in managing and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies, driving operational efficiency, automation, and performance at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- AWS Cloud Management: Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and peak performance.
- Provisioning Code Optimization: Streamline deployment processes by identifying and removing obsolete or redundant code in provisioning scripts.
- AWS S3 Storage Management: Optimize and manage S3 storage solutions for cost-effective and high-performance storage management.
- CloudOS Manifest Updates: Update CloudOS manifests to ensure accurate sizing and optimal configuration for various applications and services.
- Automation and Scripting: Create and maintain automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual intervention.
- CI/CD Implementation: Build and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement changes to maintain compliance and operational standards.
- Collaboration and Mentorship: Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and blockers and mentor junior engineers to develop their technical skills.
- Security and Compliance: Conduct regular security assessments and enforce best practices to safeguard cloud environments.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications are a plus).
- At least 10 years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a strong focus on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Expertise in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Solid knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on optimizing performance and cost.
