eXalt is recruiting a Functional Analyst on a permanent basis to work on high‑impact assignments for key players in the energy sector (TSOs, DSOs, suppliers, traders, producers).

This is a great opportunity to put your analytical skills to work on strategic projects that are shaping the energy systems of tomorrow.

🔍 Your Role

You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Understanding the operational challenges of energy market players and clarifying business needs.
• Modelling processes, data flows and use cases (UML, BPMN).
• Analysing and formalising requests, incidents, problems and changes within an ITIL framework.
• Writing clear and actionable functional specifications for IT teams.
• Contributing to solution design, testing, integration and follow‑up of evolutions.
• Maintaining documentation and supporting knowledge sharing.
• Facilitating communication between business users, architects, developers and operations teams.

⚙️ Your Assets in the Energy Sector

Experience or exposure to one or more of the following areas is considered a strong advantage:

• MIG & market processes: MIG6, MIG DGO, billing, settlement.
• Incident, problem and change management (ITIL).
• Process optimisation and development (BPM).
• Service management and collaboration tools (Topdesk), SQL, Jira, Confluence.
• CMS contexts and exchanges between DSOs, suppliers and market stakeholders.

You don’t need to be an expert in everything — we are looking for a structured, autonomous professional who is comfortable working in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.

🎯 Profile

• 4 to 10 years of experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst.
• Experience in data analysis, BPM and stakeholder management.
• Solid understanding of IT architectures: APIs, databases, batch processing.
• Proficiency with tools such as UML, SQL, Jira and Confluence (Topdesk is a plus).
• ITIL and Scrum certifications are an asset.
• Native French or Dutch, with ideally a good command of the other national language.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
