You as the Data Scientist (Risk Modeller) will join the Credit Risk Modelling Unit within Risk Analytics Department which is responsible for the overall lifecycle and methodological update covering wide range of Credit Risk Models within internal rating system.

Risk Analytics Department specializes in modelling areas covering Credit Risk models, IFRS9/provisioning models, ESG models as well as various Data Science and advanced analytics solutions. Here You will be able to grow and learn from best professionals in Baltics.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Lead specific pieces of the modelling effort: review data & attributes, assess modelling options, defend model choices with stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain Credit Risk models for internal ratings based approach
  • Lead model monitoring framework development, integration and automation covering all Credit Risk models
  • Maintain monitoring solution R/Python code base and lead work on periodic monitoring reports
  • Identify promising data sources and convert data into meaningful credit insights
  • Communicate detailed technical information in a simple and clear manner to business colleagues

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • 2+ years of previous experience working in Financial/ Credit Risk area in banking, financial institution (FinTech) or in other institution using internal ratings based approach (scoring)
  • Knowledge of a variety of modelling techniques such as multivariate regressions and models with categorical response variables
  • Excellent analytical (including statistical techniques experience), communication, presentation, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) as well as strong R/Python coding, and SQL skills
  • Good understanding of model risk management and governance of models as well as knowledge of Financial/ Credit Risk regulations (Basel, EBA, IFRS9) will be considered as an advantage
  • Good understanding of end-to-end credit life cycle for retail and wholesale portfolios also would be considered as an advantage
  • Higher degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Business Management or similar fields
  • Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
