The Global Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payrolls across multiple countries. This role acts as the key liaison between local HR teams, finance, third-party payroll providers, and employees, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate monthly payroll processing for employees across international regions in collaboration with external payroll vendors.
  • Review and validate payroll inputs (e.g. new hires, terminations, bonuses, overtime, benefits, tax details).
  • Perform gross-to-net pay checks and reconciliation reports, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll queries from employees and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements (tax, social security, pensions, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HR/payroll systems and ensure GDPR compliance.
  • Support audits and reporting requirements related to payroll.
  • Collaborate with Finance on payroll funding,
  • Process journal entries, and month-end reporting.
  • Stay updated on payroll legislation and regulatory changes in each country within remit.
  • Assist in implementing payroll process improvements and system enhancements.


Key Relationships:

  • Internal: HR, Finance, IT, Managers, Employees
  • External: Payroll providers, Tax authorities, Auditors, Benefit vendors


Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:

  • 3+ years’ experience in multi-country payroll, across APAC regions.
  • Experience working with third-party payroll providers.
  • Accounting experience with NetSuite or similar ERP.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive data with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Excel (v-lookups, Sumif, x-lookup)
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g. UKG, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Experience with multi-vendor relationship model (TMF, Apex, Merry Mullen, Vistra etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines across multiple time zones.


Desirable:

  • Payroll certification (e.g. CIPP, APA, or equivalent).
  • Experience with system implementation or payroll migrations.
  • Understanding of international mobility and expatriate payrolls.
  • Accounting knowledge and understanding from a payroll accounting perspective
