Business Project Manager

Location: Toronto, Hybrid 2x/week

Rate Range: 50-60/hr

Job Description *

Insight Global is looking for an outgoing and energetic Project Manager to join a top bank in downtown Toronto for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion. This role will require the Project Manager to be in-office 2 days per week and lead daily scrum sessions. The PM will lead Credit Risk and Capital product work sprints from initiation to implementation to achieve desired business results. They will be responsible for ensuring successful business outcomes, including delivering projects on time, within budget, within quality standards, and to the satisfaction of the product owner. The incumbent must be familiar with JIRA. The PM will be the prime subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, including organizing and leading project team meetings. They will direct, manage, and coordinate team members including other project managers, business and technology resources, user groups, internal and external consultants, and contractors. Strong communication and collaboration skills are vital to interacting with other program/project managers and stakeholders efficiently and effectively.

Required Skills and Experience *

- 6-8+ years of project management experience

- Experience within risk at a bank, preferably in Credit Risk and Capital products

- Hands-on experience with Jira

- Experience leading scrum sessions

- Expert with stakeholder management

- Previous experience directing, managing, and coordinating team members including other project managers, business and technology resources, user groups, internal and external consultants, and contractors

- Ability to navigate challenging situations effectively

- Ability to apply project management methodologies or approaches

- Data-driven decision making

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

- Valid PMP designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI)

- Experience in both Agile and Waterfall environments
