System Engineer

Sisal Sans, established in partnership with Sisal S.p.A and Demirören Holding, is an organization that provides services in both the retail and digital sectors, authorized to carry out the games of chance in Turkey for 10 years in 2020.

We are looking for a System Engineer who will be responsible for strengthening our company’s technology infrastructure and ensuring the continuity of sustainable operations. The position will report directly to Network and System Sr.Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Take an active role in the implementation of new IT infrastructure and system projects
• Provide operational support, administration, and management of system components
• Administer and maintain Microsoft Cloud services, including: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Purview (Compliance, DLP, Information Protection)
• Manage and operate virtual server environments (Hyper‑V, Azure)
• Perform physical server installation, configuration, and lifecycle management
• Operate and monitor backup and recovery systems, ensure data integrity and perform regular restore tests
• Manage and support Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions, primarily CrowdStrike
• Manage endpoint and device administration using Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM)
• Support and manage FortiClient / FortiGate EMS environments
• Execute system upgrades, patch management, and version updates
• Monitor system performance; ensure availability, reliability, and scalability
• Perform system administration tasks including performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with international / global IT teams on infrastructure, cloud, and security‑related topics
• Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies, standards, and procedures
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, procedures, and policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Computer Engineering, Electrical Electronics Engineering, MIS, or related fields preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a System Engineer / Infrastructure role within structured and complex organizations
• Strong knowledge and experience with: Microsoft Windows Server environments, Microsoft Cloud services (Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Purview, Azure), Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM)
• Solid hands‑on experience with: Virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V, Azure), Physical server management (installation, maintenance, troubleshooting)
• Proven experience with backup and recovery systems
• Hands‑on experience with CrowdStrike EDR or similar enterprise EDR solutions
• Knowledge and experience with FortiGate EMS / FortiClient management is a plus
• Experience working with international / multinational teams is a strong plus
• Knowledge of Cloud Architecture is a plus
• Availability for extra-hours shifts
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
