Full Stack Developer (PHP / React / Typescript / Symfony)

Mid-Senior level considered

My client is hiring a Full Stack Developer to join their fully remote UK team, building and scaling a high-traffic platform.

They primarily use Symfony and are open to Laravel developers willing to work with Symfony.

This is a senior role with real ownership and influence.

The Role

• Lead development of new features end-to-end

• Contribute to and influence technical design decisions

• Set and uphold backend development standards

• Take ownership of architectural improvements

• Work closely with Product to refine requirements and provide estimates

• Operate with autonomy in a small, high-performing team

Key Requirements

• 3-5 years’ professional PHP experience

• Strong modern PHP (7–8) and OOP knowledge

• Symfony (preferred) or strong Laravel experience

• 2+ years’ experience with TypeScript & React (or similar)

• Experience building high-traffic web applications

• Strong understanding of clean, testable code and engineering principles

• Experience with MySQL and HTTP APIs

• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Cloud / DevOps experience

• Kubernetes

• CI/CD pipelines

• Elasticsearch or GraphQL

• Python or Node.js
