Engineering Manager

We’re partnering with a fast-growing technology business looking to bring on an Engineering Manager to help lead the next stage of growth across their product engineering function.

This role sits at the intersection of technical leadership, people management, and delivery. You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering teams to improve development practices, drive execution, and help scale both the platform and the team in a sustainable way.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Software Engineers across product delivery and technical execution
• Help shape engineering processes, standards, and team structure as the business grows
• Drive collaboration across local and offshore engineering teams
• Support roadmap delivery alongside Product and key stakeholders
• Improve engineering quality, reliability, and scalability across the platform
• Play a key role in hiring, onboarding, and growing engineering talent

Environment & Technology

The platform is built across a modern cloud-native stack with a strong focus on scalability, observability, and performance engineering.

You’ll work across:

• Backend systems built with PHP and Laravel
• Modern frontend applications using frameworks like Vue & React
• Cloud infrastructure spanning AWS
• Data and persistence layers powered by MySQL and RxDB

About You

• Experienced engineering leader with a strong hands on software development background
• Proven experience leading and scaling engineering teams
• Passionate about building strong engineering cultures and mentoring developers
• Comfortable balancing delivery, architecture, and people leadership
• Strong communicator who can work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering stakeholders
• Excited by modern tooling, continuous improvement, and emerging engineering practices
