Django Developer

We're working with a Brussels-based SaaS company operating in the health and nutrition space who are looking for a Django Developer to join their growing product engineering team.

The company develops digital tools that help individuals and organizations improve nutrition, wellness, and long-term health outcomes through data-driven technology. Their platform combines modern web applications, analytics, and user-focused design to deliver an engaging experience for customers across Europe.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build and scale backend services powering the company’s core SaaS platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Django
• Design and implement RESTful APIs consumed by web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with front-end developers to deliver high-quality user experiences
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and security
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure improvements
• Support integrations with third-party health, nutrition, and analytics services

Requirements

• Strong professional experience with Python and Django
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database design
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerized environments
• Experience working in Agile product teams
• Good understanding of software engineering best practices and testing
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Nice to Have

• Experience with SaaS products or subscription-based platforms
• Knowledge of health, nutrition, wellness, or fitness technology
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS
• Exposure to React or modern front-end frameworks
• Experience with data analytics or recommendation systems
